2008 Chinese-speaking Perfecting Training and Conference

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
For the past two decades, hundreds of thousands of graduate students and visiting scholars from China have poured onto university campuses in North America and Europe. A good number are open to the high gospel and the deeper truths of the Lord's recovery.
In light of this phenomenon, many saints in the recovery have been stirred up by the Lord to preach the gospel of the kingdom to these students and scholars. Gospel meetings have been held across North America in many churches to reach them. As a result, over 3,000 were baptized in the churches in the last five years. We also have witnessed the work of the Holy Spirit in gaining many of these saved scholars and bringing them into the church life. More than 2,000 of them have consecrated themselves to the Lord.
Because of the Lord's blessing, many new ones have been gained, and the need for shepherding has become tremendous. These new ones need to see the vision of the Lord's recovery, to know the Body of Christ, to be equipped with the divine truth, to have the proper spiritual growth, and to live a life of the new man so that they can serve as living, functioning members of the Body of Christ. This kind of perfecting work will enable them to stand for the Lord's testimony and to spread the gospel of the kingdom wherever they go.
In order to fulfill this burden, a Chinese-speaking Perfecting Training will be held in Plano, TX from July 28 to August 2, and a Chinese-speaking Conference will be held in Irving, TX from August 2 (evening) to August 3. A number of co-workers from the U.S., Taiwan, and Hong Kong will coordinate to release messages on truth, life, vision, and service. We look to the Lord for His blessing upon this perfecting training and conference and for many more saints to be captured to meet His need.
We beseech you to pray for this burden arid to encourage the Chinese-speaking scholars, students and serving saints in your locality to. participate in this perfecting training and conference. The coworkers, leading ones, and non-Chinese speaking saints are also welcome. English translation will be provided.
